47 prisoners escape using knotted clothes

Forty-seven inmates escaped from a prison in India after scaling a wall using a wooden pole and a rope made by clothes tied together.

The prisoners also cut iron bars from their cell windows before making their bid for freedom in Indore, Madhya Pradesh state, reports the Press Trust of India news agency.
