152 countries experience human rights violations

Human rights violations occurred in 152 countries last year according to the Amnesty International report published today.

The report says that despite terrorist attacks in the US last September, some countries actually stepped up their campaigns of oppression.

The controversial shooting of John Carthy at Abbeylara and the role of the British government in the Dublin-Monaghan car bombs are also featured in the report.
