Three dead in Israeli blast

At least three people have been killed and another 28 injured in an explosion in the Israeli city Petach Tikva, near Tel Aviv.

The explosion happened in a shopping centre in Petach Tikva.

Rescue services on the scene said around 50 people were injured in the blast, which the Israeli media said was caused by a Palestinian suicide bomber.

Eyewitnesses said the suicide bomber also shot a security guard outside the shopping centre before detonating the explosives, killing himself, an elderly woman and a young girl.

A baby was also seriously injured.
