Police in Thailand have arrested a man dressed as a Buddhist monk who stormed the country’s parliament with an AK47 assault rifle and took about 30 people hostage.

Police in Thailand have arrested a man dressed as a Buddhist monk who stormed the country’s parliament with an AK47 assault rifle and took about 30 people hostage.

In a statement via mobile phone, the man said he was arrested in 1996 for encroaching into a national park and he wanted to complain to the Prime Minister about his treatment by the police.
