Marooned explorer rescued today

A British explorer marooned on a floating block of ice close to the North Pole has been rescued today.

Dave Mill was attempting to be the first man to walk to the North Pole solo and unaided, but after a series of problems and delays he became stranded miles from land on an ice floe.
