Two British sailors have been rescued off the West Australian coast, after clinging for 14 hours to the hull of their overturned boat.

The pair, who were attempting to row non-stop across the Indian Ocean, have been picked up by a merchant ship.

Simon Chalk and Bill Greaves from Devon were two days into the trip when their boat capsized in stormy seas.
