Giuliani plans political comeback

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani today confirmed he was planning a return to politics - but insisted he has no immediate designs on the White House.

‘‘I’ll be back in public office at some point,’’ said the 57-year-old, who becomes eligible to run for mayor again in 2005.
