Dutch go to the polls
The Netherlands go to the polls today in a General Election overshadowed by the murder of far right politician, Pim Fortuyn.
A protest vote could put Mr Fortuyn’s now leaderless anti-immigration party, List, into a key position in the next coalition.
Following his assassination last week, the political scene in the Netherlands has become so confused that some analysts are predicting an unstable coalition, which may collapse within 18 months.
