US driver smashes 180,000 eggs on motorway
A lorry driver fell asleep at the wheel while driving to Chicago and spilled over 180,000 eggs on the motorway.
Part of the motorway was closed for over three hours while the eggs were cleared up.
Michael Haynes, from Chicago, was driving from Rensselaer to the city when the accident happened.
Police say the 41-year-old wasn't injured. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Local police Sgt Ann Wojas says he was charged with unsafe lane movement and driving without a log book.
According to a local newspaper, the trailer containing the eggs had its top and right side cut off during the accident, making the eggs spill out.
