US and Russia to sign new nuclear treaty

The United States and Russia have reached agreement on a new nuclear arms treaty, according to US President George W Bush.

The new treaty will require each country to reduce their nuclear arsenal to 1,700 - 2,200 warheads from the 6,000 currently allowed by the Start I treaty.
