Seven die in Indian clashes
Indian soldiers have killed seven suspected Islamic militants who allegedly attempted to cross the Pakistani border into Indian-ruled Kashmir.
Three men carrying sub-machine guns and ammunition were killed near the border in Shahpur, while four more were shot and killed in the border district of Punch.
Meanwhile, three news photographers were also injured in Kashmir today when police fired tear gas to disperse crowds protesting at a reported assault by Hindu nationalists on a Kashmiri separatist leader.
