Elderly Belgian shoots African couple, dies in fire

An elderly Belgian man shot dead two immigrant neighbours early today before dying in a fire he lit in his own apartment, Brussels police said.

The 82-year-old, who had recently served a jail sentence for attacking a youngster, was arguing with his north African neighbours when he pulled a gun and killed the couple, one officer said.
