Rocket fired at US soldiers in Pakistan
An unknown attacker has fired a rocket at a base in Pakistan where US soldiers involved in George W Bush’s "war on terrorism" were sleeping.
The rocket missed its target and nobody was injured.
US and Pakistan recently signed a deal allowing the US to expand its Afghan war into the tribal areas of Pakistan’s North-West Frontier Province, where many Taliban and al-Qaida fighters are believed to be hiding.
Last week, US soldiers raided a local religious school, but found no militants inside.
The operation enraged religious leaders, who condemned the American presence on Pakistani soil as an insult to their sacred sites.
