United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan is considering disbanding the UN fact-finding mission to the West Bank town of Jenin, a senior UN official said tonight.

United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan is considering disbanding the UN fact-finding mission to the West Bank town of Jenin, a senior UN official said tonight.

The move comes after Israel’s security cabinet decided not to co-operate with the fact-finding team because its demands regarding the composition and mandate of the team were not met.
