Gadaffi to compensate families of Lockerbie victims - report

Colonel Gaddafi is prepared to make a ‘‘substantial formal offer’’ to compensate the families of Lockerbie bombing victims within a month, it was reported today.

The Libyan leader is willing to pay as much as €3.8bn to the families of the 270 victims of the 1988 terrorist atrocity, according to Time magazine.
