Canadian soldier injured by Afghan landmine

A Canadian soldier was slightly injured in southern Afghanistan when the vehicle he was travelling in struck an anti-personnel mine, a US military spokesman said today.

Captain Steven O’Connor said soldiers, all Canadian, were in a small convoy of vehicles patrolling near the southern city of Kandahar when the incident occurred yesterday.
