At least five dead in market explosion

At least five people are dead after an explosion at a market in the southern Russian city of Vladikavkaz.

A device was planted near the entrance at a stall selling flowers, NTV television reports.

At least 39 people have been injured, the Emergency Situations Ministry in Moscow says.

Vladikavkaz is in the republic of North Ossetia which borders on Chechnya.
