Eight-storey building partially collapses in New York

Part of an eight-storey building has collapsed in New York.

It is reported that an explosion was heard at a technical training college in downtown Manhattan.

At least two people have been carried out on stretchers, with more than 20 others being treated at the scene.

In all, more than 50 people are believed to be injured - six are in a critical condition.

Over 100 fire fighters are at the site.
