Chirac rejects Le Pen's offer of live TV debate

French President Jacques Chirac has rejected the idea of a live television debate with his far right opponent in next month's elections.

National Front Leader, Jean Marie Le Pen, had challenged Chirac to the debate. Chirac says when faced with intolerance and hatred no debate is possible.
