Israel today sharply criticised the United Nations, saying it was upset with a UN resolution, wary of UN plans to investigate the Jenin refugee camp, and that it might take action against the UN’s Mideast envoy.

Israeli Cabinet Secretary Gideon Saar described as ‘‘awful’’ a UN Security Council resolution, approved Friday, that calls for a fact-finding mission to look into Israel’s military offensive against Palestinian militants at a Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank.
