French presidential vote sees lowest turnout in 20 years

Early turnout in the first round of voting for a French president was the lowest in two decades.

As of noon, 21% of France’s 40 million eligible voters had gone to the polls - the lowest midday turnout for a first-round presidential election in the last two decades.
