UN Security Council approves Jenin fact-finding mission

The UN Security Council has unanimously approved a US resolution welcoming a fact-finding mission to look into Israeli military action in Jenin.

The council adopted the resolution hours after Israeli Foreign Minister Shimon Peres spoke with Secretary-General Kofi Annan.
