Drugs found stashed in Kinder eggs
Hard drugs and cash were today found stashed inside children’s chocolate eggs, claim British police.
During an early morning raid on a house in Hove, East Sussex, police uncovered about £1,000-worth (€1,633) of heroin and £500 (€816) cash.
Some of it had been stuffed inside Kinder Surprise eggs, a confection popular with children which normally contains a small toy.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: ‘‘It is a cynical use of children’s toys. Apparently it is a national phenomenon.
‘‘A lot of drug dealers do it because of the shape of the egg. If people get stopped (by police), they are not obvious.’’
Two men, aged 27 and 32, were arrested on suspicion of supplying heroin.
