Strong earthquake hits northern Afghanistan

A strong earthquake has struck northern Afghanistan less than a month after another earthquake left up to 1,000 people dead in the same region.

Today’s tremor, which measured 5.8 on the Richter Scale, caused several buildings to collapse, but there were no immediate reports of any casualties.
