Bush asks Senate to ban all human cloning

US President George W Bush has asked the US Senate to pass legislation banning all forms of human cloning, including the cloning of embryos for research and the treatment of diseases.

In a speech to doctors, scientists, politicians, religious activists and the disabled, Mr Bush said: "Life is a creation, not a commodity.
