Zimbabwean opposition resume talks with ruling party

Zimbabwe’s opposition has resumed talks with Robert Mugabe’s ruling Zanu-PF party today, but the two sides are still poles apart over how to resolve their differences.

The government has dismissed calls from the Movement for Democratic Change for a re-run of last month’s presidential election, which saw Mr Mugabe returned to power after three days of voting.
