US policeman at large after killing five of his neighbours
Police in the US are today searching for a colleague who is still at large after shooting dead five of his neighbours and wounding two others in two towns in New Jersey.
Edward Lutes, who has been a police officer in Seaside Heights for 15 years, allegedly killed two people in the house next to his in Dover Township and three in a house across the street.
He also allegedly wounded a sixth person in Dover before travelling to Barnegat Township and shooting the Seaside Heights police chief.
The motive for the killings is unknown.
