Dozens injured in Jerusalem blast
Dozens of people have been injured after an explosion rocked a Jerusalem shopping area.
The explosion came at Kiryat Yovel, a working class Jewish area in the southeastern part of the city.
Dozens were hurt, according to initial reports from Israeli rescue services reaching the scene.
Israel television said it appeared at least one person was killed.
Other Israeli media reports said it appeared the explosion was caused by a suicide bomber inside the supermarket, but there was no immediate confirmation from authorities.
It comes after Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon ordered an attack on Yasser Arafat’s Ramallah compound and declared him an "enemy of Israel".
