Serbia’s deputy prime minister was in military custody tonight, accused of passing secret documents to a US diplomat that could implicate former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic at his war crimes trial.

Military police arrested Momcilo Perisic, a former army commander, in a Belgrade restaurant last night .
