Gunman fires at Israeli pedestrians

A gunman has opened fire tonight on pedestrians in the northern Israeli town of Netanya.

At least 20 people were wounded, paramedics said.

The assailant opened fire with an automatic rifle on passers-by in central Netanya.

The shooting took place after the end of the Jewish Sabbath, a time when the area is usually crowded.
