Angolan officials display body of dead rebel leader
The Angolan government has displayed the body of rebel leader Jonas Savimbi.
Officials have urged his followers to surrender so the country's two-decade civil war could be ended.
Footage of Savimbi's body was broadcast on state-owned Televisao Popular de Angola.
It was filmed in a remote village near where he was killed in a gun battle with soldiers yesterday.
The body, in combat fatigues apparently stained by blood, was placed on a makeshift table on grass beneath a tree.
Savimbi led the Unita rebel group for more than 30 years.
