Four people have died after a private rescue helicopter crashed in the Haute-Savoie region of the French Alps.

The privately owned helicopter had just rescued a skier at the resort of Flaine when it flew into a cable and lost control. Officials said it crashed near a mountain-top restaurant in Flaine.
