Afghan minister 'killed by pilgrims'

The Afghan minister for civil aviation, Abdul Rahman, was killed at Kabul airport tonight when a crowd of pilgrims angry over delays in travelling to Mecca for the Muslim pilgrimage attacked him, government sources said.

The Afghan minister for civil aviation, Abdul Rahman, was killed at Kabul airport tonight when a crowd of pilgrims angry over delays in travelling to Mecca for the Muslim pilgrimage attacked him, government sources said.

Mr Rahman was at the airport to set off on a trip to Delhi, the sources said.
