Enron finance head pleads the fifth

Andrew Fastow - former chief financial officer at Enron - has refused to testify before Congress and pled the Fifth Amendment.

However, lawmakers vowed to get to the bottom of Enron's collapse despite indications that almost half of the witnesses expected to appear would refuse to testify.

Three more of the 10 witnesses are expected to invoke their Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination and refuse to testify before the House Energy and Commerce Committee., Rep. James Greenwood (R-Pa.), chairman of the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee, said.

"Reluctant witnesses will not keep us from getting at the truth," said James Greenwood, chairman of the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee.
