Four dead in drive-by shooting in Calcutta

Four people are dead and 11 injured after a drive-by shooting at the American Centre in Calcutta.

The gunmen targeted policemen posted outside the building in the eastern Indian city.

It is not yet known who is responsible for the attack.

No one was in the centre, which houses the consulate library and some offices.

US embassy spokesperson, Gordon Duguid, has said no Americans were hurt in the raid.
