Clooney's aunt admitted to hospital

Singer Rosemary Clooney has been admitted to a Los Angeles hospital as she battles lung cancer.

The 74-year-old is in the intensive care unit of the city’s Mayo Clinic as she is treated for the disease, Daily Variety reported.

Clooney, the aunt of Hollywood star George Clooney, had been due to be honoured for her lifetime’s work at the Grammy awards next month.
