Zimbabwe accuses EU of 'meddling'

Zimbabwe has again accused Europe of meddling in its affairs.

The accusation follows fraught talks between the EU and President Robert Mugabe’s ministers over the monitoring of their forthcoming elections.

The EU believes that Zimbabwe is imposing tough new restrictions on free speech after ruling that criticising President Mugabe is a criminal offence.
