Lockerbie bomber appeal to be televised

The BBC has been given permission to televise the Lockerbie bomber appeal.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Executive said the Lord Justice General Lord Cullen has granted authority to the BBC to broadcast the appeal by Lockerbie bomber Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi which opens at Camp Zeist near Utrecht in Holland on January 23.
