Alleged al-Qaida terrorist appears in court

Alleged Hijacker, Zacarias Moussaoui has appeared in court in America.

The appearance was broadcast on television after a television network asked the judge to allow it to be broadcast.

The 33-year-old alleged al-Qaida terrorist made no comment as he watched the proceedings in the Federal Courthouse in Alexandria, Virginia, just a few miles form the Penatgon, the target of one of the September 11 attacks.

Lawyers for the American television network, Court TV, claim broadcasting the trial is in the public interest as the terror attacks were intended to attack all Americans.
