Bush did not mean to offend 'Pakis'

The White House says President George W Bush meant no offence when he referred to the people of Pakistan as ‘Pakis’.

Bush told reporters yesterday that the US was working hard to convince both ‘the Indians and the Pakis there is a way to deal with their problems without going to war’.
