Boy shot dead for kicking dog

A 17-year-old from Chile shot and killed his teenaged neighbour because he kicked his dog, its claimed.

Miguel Angel shot his neighbour with a pistol after he had seen him kicking his family pet earlier that day, police say.

Sergio Guerra, 15, died instantly.

Angel is under arrest and charged with murder.

Guerra kicked Angel's dog after it ran up to him barking in the street in Santiago.

The two teenagers later confronted each other - and Angel was armed with a pistol.

Witnesses said that Sergio came up to the boy waving the gun in his face.

He was reportedly shouting, "You're the bastard who doesn't like dogs."

He then pulled the trigger, killing his neighbour instantly. Police later arrested the teenager who will now face murder charges in a juvenile court.
