Birmingham Airport to remain closed
Birmingham International Airport is expected to remain closed until at least Sunday after a private jet crashed yesterday shortly after take-off killing all five on board.
The airport is still being searched by Air Accident Investigators after they recovered two black boxes from the plane following the tragedy on Friday afternoon.
More than 20,000 passengers and 170 flights are being diverted to airports across the UK after the Challenger Jet crashed and burst into flames, killing two company executives and three flight crew, an airport spokesman said.
