An agreement on how the international peacekeeping force in Afghanistan will operate has been signed today.

It comes as a convoy carrying about 70 British soldiers arrived in Kabul. The troops will reinforce an initial deployment, which has been patrolling the capital and providing security to the country’s interim government.
