South African bus driver faces criminal charges
Criminal charges have been filed against the driver of a truck in South Africa following the deaths of 47 members of the same family.
They died when the truck in which they were travelling in overturned on a steep hill in the Northeast of the country.
The family were on their way to visit ancestor’s graves when the crash happened. There were 120 people on board the lorry at the time.
Police have charged the driver, who was slightly injured because it is illegal in South Africa to carry people in a truck without a canopy.
