33 die as buses collide head-on
Two passenger buses collided in northern Bangladesh today, killing at least 33 people and injuring more than 50 passengers.
The death toll may rise as some of the passengers in hospital were in critical condition, police said.
Among the dead were three women, three children and the driver of one of the buses.
The accident took place on a highway outside Bogra, 100 miles north of Dhaka, the capital. About 129 passengers were on the two buses, both of which were crushed, police said.
