Experts pore over new bin Laden tape

US intelligence was today examining a newly-aired videotape of Osama bin Laden that contains clues suggesting it could have been made around the time he vanished.

American officials suspect one of three chief possibilities: bin Laden is dead, killed by US bombs or his own followers; he is hiding in a cave in the Tora Bora area of Afghanistan; or he is fleeing through Pakistan.
