First meeting for new Afghan government

Members of Afghanistan’s new cabinet have held their first meeting today.

As the cabinet was escorted by armed militiamen, women clutching pale blue burquas, a symbol of the oppressive Taliban regime, chanted slogans of hope and peace in the streets of Kabul.
