Moscow declares Salvation Army illegal

The Salvation Army said it would fight any moves to kick it out of Moscow after city officials declared the organisation illegal.

The group has been refused charity status, despite being recognised in the rest of Russia, in an ongoing row over the freedom of religious bodies.
