Former communists to return to power in Berlin

The former communists of East Germany are to take their first share of power in the capital since it was reunited more than a decade ago.

Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder's Social Democrats and the former communists say they have agreed on the main points of a deal to form a new Berlin city government.
