Final World Trade Centre fires extinguished

Underground fires burning at the World Trade Centre site in New York since September's terrorist attacks have finally been extinguished.

Fire Department spokesman Robert Calise said it was possible some small pockets might still be burning, "but we consider the fire to be out".
